A straight forward pub rocker, always the set opener.
Jokers Wild existed for a little over a year or so in 1988/89 (ish!). I joined the band as lead guitarist after they had been going for a while and it was my first ever gig. The band were mainly based in Melksham and Trowbridge in Wiltshire and we gigged around the pub circuit there. It was a great fun experience and a learning one. The band were not great musicians but had fun playing live and had a small following in the area. I left to join another band after about a year and Jokers wild folded not long afterwards. We did have time to record one demo tape though, which was engineered by Steve Evans (who has gone on to Produce Robert Plant Albums, amongst others) in a little studio in TrowbridgeHave you performed in front of an audience?Not any more, but live playing was fun, I recall that once the singer turned up 10 minutes before the gig, completely off his head on prescription drugs and forgot the lyrics to nearly every song!
