Thoughts of the formation of Goon Toonz began late in the year of 2006. A man with ambition, creativity, and commitment. It was nearly destiny that lead the mastermind of the company away from a life of basketball and into the arms of music. There is no such thing as chance; and what seem to us merest accident springs from the deepest source of destiny (Henry Miller). A woman with ability, character, and determination. It was virtually fate that caused the collaborator to decline a position in law enforcement and accept a time and benefit friendly position within government. Wherever the fate leads us, let us follow (Virgil). James Miller, CEO and President of Goon Toonz Entertainment has been involved with the hip hop music industry as an aspiring rapper for approximately 9 years now. Through good times and bad, success stories and downfalls he has always maintained a level of professionalism like no other. The idea of forming this entertainment company came about after recent devastating events that left James (aka Heathen) feeling as though all his time and efforts were unwarranted. He decided he was going to follow the path that others before him had paved and his energy was now going to be dedicated to forming his own label. We dont grow unless we take risks; any successful company is riddled with failures (James E. Burke). Nela Miller, CO and Vice President of Goon Toonz Entertainment has witnessed first hand the ins and outs, the ups and downs of ways to become financially successful through marketing and promoting events and concerts courtesy of Heathens career. Being the wife of a rap star she has studied and scrutinized every detail and aspect involved with her role within the company. Nela aka Mrs. Heathen has established her goals, is motivated to meet the challenges, and prepared to succeed. Many marriages would be better if the husband and wife clearly understood that they are on the same side (Zig Zagler). Goon Toonz Entertainment current artist roster consists of a group by the name of Livin Legendz which two of their members are family of CEO and fellow label mate James Miller aka Heathen, two solo rap artist Haze Brown and J. Dough, In House producers Implant Productions and Sinopsis, DJ/Head of A&R Josh Aguirre aka D.J. Beatstreet and newly appointed A&R's Eric McClellen and Gary Ward. Our professional staff consists of qualified family members and former major recording label executives. The achievements of an organization are the result of combined efforts of each individual (Vince Lombardi). The year of 2007 holds many projects for Goon Toonz Entertainment. Our artist Heathen is set to release his debut album Tha Introduction this fall. We are also currently working on a Compilation titled "History In Tha Makin" featuring all of our artists in addition to notable figures in the hip hop community and a mixtape collaboration with Slip and Slide Records titled "Tha Price Just Went Up Vol.1" hosted by our very own DJ Beatstreet. We are also looking forward to our very first concert featuring DJ Unk in West Virginia and ultimately years of success!
