Born and raised in Lafayette, Indiana with a drive and passion for music in his heart.. Wanting so much more than the corn fields had to offer, Johnny B. Hive packed his guitar and headed to Florida. He quickly found that life in the real world wasn't as easy as he thought it would be. Shortly after hitting open mics around the Orlando area, Bhive headed further South to Englewood. He spent many of his days by the beach, dreaming, just as he had so many times before in his parents' back yard. It was in Englewood that Bhive met George Domiano -a songwriter, an absolute lyricist- with strong ideas of how he felt the world should be. After writing songs together for about a year, Domiano moved Bhive to New York. Bhive quickly recognized the tremendous opportunities presented to him in New York. Things happen for a reason; Bhive seemed to be running into one thing after another. Settling in Oceanside on Long Island, Bhive lived with a fella named Richey Connatta. Connatta booked Bhive in New York City, where Bhive began making a name for himself without even realizing it. "Sometimes you just have to stop and learn some lessons," Bhive recalls. During this time Bhive met a beautiful blond with whom he fell in love. Also on a voyage to do something great, the two combined their efforts. Little did they know, it would prove to be unsuccessful. 'I guess they are right with the phrase, "You can't mix business with pleasure,"'says Bhive. It was at that time that Bhive headed to Levittown, a place causing quite a buzz with the Long Island music scene. With an audience of fans and friends he had made in his now three years in New York, Bhive hit Levittown with such a force that he caught the attention of Robert Newman. With Newman's gracious support and assistance, Bhive found himself playing gigs all over Manhattan and Long Island. Bhive's success in Manhattan prompted Newman to relocate Bhive to Los Angeles, California. With the help of Stephanie Lanier, There, he attended the Grammys and got a taste of what the celebrity lifestyle was really like. BHive eventually found himself playing acoustic shows in Los Angeles and Las Vegas over the next year. While in Las Vegas he caught the attention of a man named Sonny who owned Sonco Entertainment Group. With his help, he has recorded and played at gigs all around the Las Vegas area and continues to do so. With the support of old friends and family and the help of new friends, BHive continues to move forward to fulfill his musical destiny. "You can do anything as long as you believe in you, because someone else believing in you isn't going to cut it if you don't have faith in yourself," states BHive. "I've never seen anyone more driven than he is with his passion for music," says his brother Andrew, "It really is inspiring to watch him keep working and moving further and further to achieve his dream that he has never given up on after all of these years." Bhive is finding peace of mind in his understanding of religion and his faith in God while pursuing his music career. The support of old friends and family and the help of new friends in Los Angeles has helped Bhive move forward to fulfill his music destiny. Bhive is now back with his band living in NY, and running a nightclub at 58 gardiners ave, in Levittown, NY called the vintage lounge. Stop by and have a drink sometime.Your musical influences
