Teen idol Joey Mars writes, records & performs contemporary love songs. His "bad boy" image that's just edgy enough to attract adolescent girls, yet, not too "loud" to scare parents, makes Joey the perfect answer to those seeking a pop star to obsess over. From now on, Joey will fill the role of whichever artist or group you thought you couldn't go a day without. His mainstream sound is appealing to a very large audience of music-goers, and Joey's latest pop hit, "There's Only You", is quickly rising to #1 on the pop charts
Joey Mars used to be in a boy band called B Sharp, a pop group that consisted of five bright-eyed and hopeful, young and talented, males. Joey contributed to much of their short-term success, both behind the scenes and on stage, with his musical input and "bad boy" image. Joey eventually left the group in 2003, because of alleged artistic differences, so the media reports, but it was rumoured that Joey was really kicked out of the band for his excessive drinking and sexual addiction. Shortly before B Sharp broke up in 2004, Joey checked himself into rehab for "alcoholism". It was then and there that Joey decided he wanted to launch a solo musical career of his own, and he quickly began pulling strings within the music industry. Later that year, he was released from the clinic he checked himself into, and Joey immediately formed a pop group of his own that would back him during his performances. The rest, as they say, is history. Since then, Joey has been no stranger to success with the releasing of well-received promos, radio air-play and mall performances all throughout the country. The story behind the picture featured to the right is that it is meant to portray the relentless press that swamed pop star Joey Mars just moments after he was released from rehab, when Joey stepped out of the clinic doors. Joey Mars has not forgotten that infamous day, and that event has now become synonymous with the early years of the artist Joey Mars. Joey often jokes about ultimately being known solely for that experience

Before you think you've already figured me out, and begin to label me as just another artist frustrated with today’s music industry, let me make it perfectly clear that I'm pro-mainstream and anti-underground. I do think that there needs to be a cleansing in the musical community, although not from the pop star’s end. The lack of talent, effort & creativity from the underground artists we let slip onto our pop charts is disturbingly noticeable in their songs. These anti-pop artists should crawl back to whatever hole they were spawned out of, because we've been sitting around quietly and allowing these anti-pop people tell us in mainstream music world what to do for far too long. They whine about all their little hang-ups with pop music only because it reminds them of how outspoken and rejected they are by our society. There is no room for anti-pop in mainstream music, and we have to ban underground completely from the pop charts. Hard rock bands know deep down in their hearts that they will never be able to compete with pop acts. These are the bands who usually put the gain all the way up so that their vocals become drowned out, and the thing is, they actually think they're making music. Pop is always in my heart, and pop adapts to whatever is trendy at the time, therefore pop will live on forever
