the thai khaen sound is created by blowing out & sucking air in through the instrument. it has a few keys that can be played. i was very fortunate to have recorded this piece. the instrument has since become unusable.

last steps was assembled years ago. it is a very repetitive track that i have mixed feelings about. it was one of the first songs i made. for some reason it attracts me, and so it made it to this set.

this song was originally composed for harp with assistance from harpist larry smith. the harp version of union has only been played live once; on a very rainy day, at my wedding. i made a few adjustments as i re-composed it as an ambient piece.
