This is a hip-hop project I started in my bedroom studio 6 or 7 years ago.. Hundreds of songs, 6 composition notebooks filled to the brim, and many "studio equipment" updates later, here's where I'm at.. I'm constantly striving to get better at writing songs, raps and beats.. and still updating my studio and improving on my production chops...
This is also only a portion of my music. I'm also a jazz piano player, I produce other artists, perform and write music of many different genres (pop, r&b, rock, reggae, latin)
Band/artist history
been doing this for a long time... I've played and recorded so many different styles! started out with classical.. got into jazz in a big way... hip-hop was always there for me.. I love groove music... Groove music=anything that makes you move and dance! Been getting into dance and reggaeton lately.. I grew up with reggae and rap..
Have you performed in front of an audience?
yes.. I love it.. every moment I play is special to me and hopefully the audience!
Your musical influences
De La, Prince, Miles, Sizzla, Billie Holliday, NAS, Tribe called quest..
What equipment do you use?
Korg Triton is my main keyboard... a lot of sounds from Komplete 6 (those sounds are limitless) Rode nt1-a mic. sm57, sm58, AKG 120 perception, M-Audio bx5a monitor.. Tubepre preamp.. Cubase 5.. SMOKIN' PC (i5 processor.. can handle MUCH!) AKai MPD18 drum pads (new addition, makes it easy to get a good feel on the drums) and... my accordion, which I love
Anything else?
Yes.. there is something... Musicians need to stretch out.. People are playing it safe too often.. take some risks... come up with something different.. THat's what I'm trying to do with every song, and every lyric!
