Rock General

Tagged by Detroits Jam Rag Magazine as "Modern rock with a classic soul"; Jiva (Jee-va) is a new sound that maintains the spirit and emotion from the genesis of rock. Think Led Zeppelin meets Evanescence; Fat and soulful guitars, powerhouse drummer, and a sexy female singer with a set of pipes and a vocal range that will blow you across the room. "Their songs creep up on you; seductive at first, then suddenly shifting into rhythmic overdrive and inevitably carrying you out on a wave of climactic guitar (Michiganbands.com Sept. 2004).
Have you performed in front of an audience?
Jiva has been recognized for their powerful and dynamic live show in publications throughout the Midwest as well as on the web. Now a name that has become synonymous with the Detroit rock scene, Jiva headlines the Motor Citys pre-eminent clubs and continues to spread their word and music nationally. In late 2002, Jiva was invited to perform songs from their debut album Searching for Something on the nationally broadcast Mitch Albom Show. Last summer the band was recruited to play several high profile concerts in Southern California, including the X103.9 FM main stage at the California Classic Auto-fest, and a showcase at The Cat Club on Sunset Strip.
