Hi to all. I've been playing for allot of years now. Have been in bands and frankly don't like the playing out thing much anymore, getting to old to pack all the gear and haul it around I quess. Recently I was a member of a three piece group posted as High Plains. Great music and great guys, but with the playing out thing and other more pressing issues decided it was time to sit back and just do what I love best, create the type of music I love best.
Band/artist history
Started out in the late 60s with my brother and other friends to have basement bands. Later joined a good friend Wayne in a band called Quinn. After that faded away, Wayne and I along with my brother Chuck and another good friend Steve started Shaky Jake. Well as weddings and kids and the issues of life in one way or another hit us, that to faded away as well. Wayne and I stuck it out for awhile writting and playing things occasionally, but that to went away. Twenty five years passed and Wayne, Steve and I decided if the other old dogs could still play, so could we. We played around for about three years and I decided it was enough. Tough to play what my heart really wanted to when you had to play stuff for the campground and such crowd. So now I do my own thing, and thats what I quess I've always really wanted to do anyway.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
Not anymore, but a coffee shop or somthing like that very occasionally may not be out of the question down the road.
Your musical influences
Acoustic Folk / Rock Dan Folgelberg Gordon Lightfoot Poco Eagles John Mayer Outlaws and the list goes on and on
What equipment do you use?
Acoustic Guitars I play a 1973 Guild G37, a Taylor 410-CE and a Tak EG531 12 string. For the electric sound I use and Epiphone Les Paul, and a Yamaha Bass. Also fiddle around with a Yamaha keyboard. All this STUFF combined with my 16 track Korg recorder keeps me out of trouble, well somtimes.
Anything else?
Open for any help, or constructive suggestions that any and all can give. Thats what it's all about!!
