Band/artist history
I've wanted to be in the music biz since age 11, I wrote my first rap song at age 13, and at age 14 I decided to be an emcee. At age 15, I wrote my first Christian rap and loved how I could bring the message to provide the answer to everybody's problems and get everything I needed to say off my chest, rhyming about nuttin but the truth. After performing it soon after in front of 130 people and wowing them with the song, I've been on a roll. It's a year later and I've now released a demo, been writing constantly, and steadily increasing the frequency of my live performances.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
I've performed at various types of venues: the Daily Grind Cafe, Juice n Java, talent shows, christian camps that have asked me to come perform for them in there auditorium(big crowds!!!), and at churches. I hope to keep getting more and more performance dates and go to more venues.
Your musical influences
I've been influenced a little by probably 100+ artists and bands across lots of genres, but my biggest influences(musical style, but not always lyrically) Talib Kweli, Mos Def, Lauryn Hill, 2Pac, Notorious B.I.G., Nas, Eminem, KJ-52, Bone Thugs in Harmony, D-Block, The Cross Movement, Da Ambassador, Common Sense, Kanye West, Gang Starr, Run-DMC, Jay-Z, and various underground hip-hop aritsts unheard of.
What equipment do you use?
SHUR-58 mic, computer software, keyboard, guitar, bass, rhythm machine
