What does "Differently the Same" mean? Well, we are still Jim and Jeanne just a bit older. The difference is that we are asking better questions about faith, life, love and our world than we were in our earlier days. Asking a better question tends toward deeper and critical thinking. This helps inform our faith journey, which then helps shape the choices we make. Sometimes it's simple and at other times quite complex. At any rate, it makes a difference. If you have comments, questions or want us to come and share these tunes e-mail us. Also, we'd love for you to buy our CD. Peace, Jim and JeanneBand/artist history

Your musical influences
Jim and Jeanne enjoy sharing their music. They play an eclectic style which incorporates fingerstyle, lap steel, bottleneck guitar and various kinds of percussion. Jim's musical influences are wide and varied, from Blind Willie Johnson to David Lindley, Leo Kottke and Bruce Cockburn. Jeanne enjoys writing lyrics, singing and playing percussion. Her musical influences are wide and varied as well, from Joni Mitchell to Natalie Merchant, Tracy Chapman, K.D.Lang, Bonnie Raitt, and Annie Lenox. This combining of their styles makes for an interesting mix of music. When it comes to lyrical content Jim and Jeanne draw from the personal experience of their life's journey. They are influenced by authors such as Thomas Merton, Frederick Buechner, Madeleine L'Engle, Soren Kirkegaard, and Paul Tournier. What equipment do you use?
Taylor guitars. Homemade lap steels (acoustic and electric). Old parlor guitars and 12 strings that I restore (or at least try to restore). Various ethnic instruments. Old cheap stuff that sounds good.Anything else?
Differently the Same is our first CD. It contains 12 original songs. This living room production has been in the making for quite some time. Finding the time in our busy schedules to do a guitar part here and a vocal there has resulted in this collection.

Beautiful music!
'Thought you or your webmaster should know that snippets of some other songs (very loud, heavy style) interrupt some of your songs on here. eg. "One Road Or The Other" and "What Are They Worth".
Nice Work.. Keep it Up..check me out when you have a chance...
Back again this time to listen to "What are they worth"
It's a lovely song with nice harmonies and a thought provoking message in the lyrics.
