J.Feel was born in the city that never sleeps. No not "New York City", try Las Vegas. When he was 14 Years old he and his family moved to Little Rock, Arkansas. This is where his journey began.

Little Rock is a city that's not too big and not too small. It's a comfortable size and has been an enriching place for J.Feel to explore the magic of music. Here, he has learned about the power music has to heal, to set free, and to generate love. Living in the "Natural State" has inspired him to sing and write songs with harmonies and lyrics that are soothing, complex, and personal.

Although J.Feel is sometimes classified as a "Neo Soul" artist, he believes that his style is indicative of the old school true R&B and Funk. Something he likes to call Neo-Funk Soul”. His creativity has no boundaries, so his music is extraordinarily versatile. He only knows one way to write from the heart. His number one goal is to create lyrics that speak to the mind, body, and soul. His music is designed to spark a groove that draws the masses. Artists who keep growing, exploring, and reaching higher heights such as a Donnie Hathaway, Sade, Jill Scott, India Arie, Musiq Soul Child and Stevie Wonder inspire him

As Dojo Music’s first officially released artist, J.Feel has finished working on his solo project, “Forbidden Conversations”..., to be released in Summer 2004. The debut single "Compares 2 U" is currently causing a definite buzz in the industry. But not only does J.Feel display his vocal talents, he also shows his production skill as a member of the production group “Soul Play.” The album was written, produced and performed by “Soul Play”, whose members consist of J.Feel, Cell and JusMyc. J.Feel will be the one to launch a "Neo Funk" explosion in this uncharted territory.

J.Feel also performs with a band in Little Rock called "OPHSET". OPHSET is a group of individuals who came together to restore the essence of song through live instrumentation. They are known in the city for their quality performance and sound. "OPHSET" first performed February 10, 2001. They have a driving desire to become the hottest band in the country.
