Band/artist history
Samuel contributed many years of performing with the renowned "Benedict Gospel Choir," and attended and performed in many recitals at the USC School of Music, and with the "S.C. Philharmonic Orchestra," while completing his education.
A native of South Carolina, he graduated from Benedict College in Columbia, SC, where he majored in Criminal Justice with a minor in Music.
Samuel has performed in many live concerts, studio sessions, and artists' showcases. He has also performed in musical stage plays such as: "Looking For Love In All The Wrong Places," "What Every Woman Wants," "Just Be A Man About It," and "A Woman's Worth," written and directed by R&B artist Tiger Graham of the group "Silk."
He has worked with various R&B artists including: Christopher Williams, Tony Terry, Morris Day, Levert and Tameka Scott of the group "Escape." His repertoire also includes performances with gospel artists such as: Shirley Murdock, Men of Standard, Carlton Pearson, Dawkins and Dawkins, Donald Malloy, Israel of "New Breed," and Tarralyn Ramsey.
Throughout his career, he has performed with many jazz artists, bands, and instrumentalists to include: "Straight Ahead," Angelica Christie, Harold Rayford, Joe Johnson, John Valentino, formerly with the "Whispers," and new artist, Terence Young.
He is quickly gaining wide acceptance as a recording artist in the United States.
Samuel has recently added music directing to his career, with emphasis on stage production and band arrangement.
He has had the opportunity to serve as Music Director for gospel artists Adrian Greene and "The Diplomats for Christ," and Marvelous Entertainment Inc. of Los Angeles, California.
