Old School

In 2007 JAZE JUCE and FRANKIE WAPPS took on the underground hip-hop scene by storm when they pulled A SURPRISE UNDERDOG run towards the 2007 World Rap Championship rings making NY second place in THE WORLD!!!! The World Rap Championships is a notorious global tag-team battle rap league that spans over 8 divisions and 4 countries (NY, LA, ATL, Toronto, Houston, Melbourne Australia, London, and Detroit) . This is the brainchild of jumpoff.tv a British based hip-hop online franchise. So you can only imagine how it was a long road for NY! The journey started on JULY 21st 2007 in Washington Square Park NY in the 2007 WRC's NY division walk-on qualifiers. On this beautiful Summer day, Jaze Juce and Frankie Wapps introduced themselves to the jumpoff staff, MCs and fans when they competed in two intense battles in which they absolutely slaughtered their opponents. These two battles are available on this myspace page, youtube and jumpoff!! As you can see.. the reaction to Juce and Wapps verbal interplay was so insane that the jumpoff fans voted Juce and Wapps into the 2007 NY division, held on SEPTEMBER 3rd!!! Little did they know what they had done... On Sept 3rd... 6 teams met in the South Bronx hailing from as far as Orlando and Los Angeles to compete in the WRC 2007 NY division. It is now known that NY was arguably the most competitive and entertaining division in the entire 2007 WRC's. jumpoff favorites and underground battle legends all met in this BX studio! Nobody ever imagined Juce and Wapps would advance! Miraculously, Juce and Wapps outclassed season battle rap veterins and obtained 7 wins, 3 ties and no losses... making them the undefeated winners of the 2007 WRC NY division!! The 5 illest battles Juce and Wapps had are on this myspace page, but you can catch all of the hysterical/historical footage on youtube and jumpoff! This win meant Juce and Wapps were bringing Yonkers and ALL OF NY TO THE WRC 2007 PLAYOFFS!!!!! You'd think people would know by now... but no sir!! On SATURDAY DECEMBER 1ST.. Yonkers represented New York in the 2007 World Rap Championship Playoffs elimination style tournament. They faced the winners of the Melbourne division in the quarter finals as MAJOR underdogs. Polls on jumpoff.tv started by fans put Juce and Wapps as the definite losers in the battle... however after 3 heated battles.. NY advanced to the semis making them the major underdogs of the quarterfinals! In the semis .. NY encountered the winners of the London division, and after 3 extremely intense battles, NY defeated London and continued to advance into the finals . However, controversy arose that lasted for over two hours draining the energy in the venue, and leaving NY and LA to square off in a very deflated finals. This final bout lasted three full battles, but ultimately the Italians did not bring the gold home to Yonkers. It's like.. NY didn't get the gold but we reminded the world that we're still a fuckin problem. Juce and Wapps are still a fuckin problem. I've been a fan of rapping as long as I can remember. Back to the days of LL Cool J, TCQ, Rakim, EPMD, NWA, Wu-Tang, Lords of the Underground, Biggie Smalls, Big L etc all the way to Eminem, Dipset Jedi-Mind Tricks etc... i'm known for my versatility. Alot of you rappers need to step that up! Stop hatin Jaze Juce.. that's the way it has to be folks You can find some older video footage of me from 2004 if you click on the videos link under my default picture. My passion is hip-hop and the art of MCing, however I sometimes host and organize events ranging from battle rap tournaments to birthday parties. I also have experience judging rap battles, and color commentating on various platforms of entertainment. And trust me... THIS IS ONLY THE BEGINNING!! In 2008 alone Jaze Juce invaded the PussyCat Lounge in downtown NYC, the mean fiddler midtown, and the infamous Club Touch with youtube sensation MY NEW HAIRCUT!!!! Jaze also hosted his second OK&L acapella MC street tournament which was widely viewed on youtube! Jaze took flight in March and traveled down to Orlando to perform at the 3 day Hip-hop festival LOUNGE BATTLES 6 where he linked with GRINDTIME. The connects built therein led to a last minute exhibition battle against well-regarded Orlando battle rap vet Jonny Storm. Jaze then Co-Founded Grindtimenow.com in August of 2008. Within Jazes short stint with grindtime, he had two legendary battles. One where he traveled to California to attack former Scribble Jam competitor Okwerdz and than another major tag team victory with Frankie Wapps against Dumbfounded and Sahtyre, After Jaze parted ways with grindtime he created his own league called "Beast Coast" which organizes battles but also hiphop events in general. Jaze tore it up in www.kingofthedot.com in July of 2010, against Justice from Montreal He also has two mixtapes available for free online at www.eqjonez.com/mixtape and www.eqjonez.com/mixtape1 Jaze is also a producer, engineer, songwriter, ghostwriter and overall entertainment talent. Jaze has collaborated in countless an experimental hiphop projects and has a vast collection of triphop material.
