JAYLA has completed its newest CD release, Faithfully Alive, boasting a 16-song compilation guaranteed to move your soul and touch your heart, even when presented in its raw acoustical form. This hottest collection of innovative masterpieces follows the band’s successful CD “Electric” and is a work of genius written and performed by JAYLA’s first rate songwriters Diane Kelly (Vocals, Guitar and Percussion) and Nikki Thompson (Vocals, Multi-instrumentalist and Producer). In August 2007, JAYLA unveiled Faithfully Alive while jamming for the legendary “Queen of Rock,” Pat Benatar, as the opening act at 98.9 WMMO Downtown Concert Series.
Prior to making Los Angeles the band’s home, JAYLA performed extensively throughout the state of Florida, showcasing its genuine acoustic and band material, serving as a regular act at the House of Blues and receiving prime time airplay on 98.9 WMMO, Orlando’s popular rock station, as well as on Real Radio 104.1 FM. Accolades followed, including a nomination for Best Pop Rock Band by the Orlando Annual Music Awards. JAYLA has traveled to the East and West coasts of the United States performing in their current location at The Knitting Factory ( Hollywood ), The Joint, Room 5 Lounge, and The Mint, and in New York City at the infamous The Bitter End and The Lion's Den. JAYLA also opened for Pat Benatar and Neil Giraldo on their "Let's GO!" summer tour at the B.B. King Blues Club & Grill in New York City .
Finally, JAYLA has had the opportunity to open for many other well established national acts, including Gavin DeGraw; TRAIN, Better Than Ezra; The Black Crowes, Clarence Clemmons of the E Street Band, Blue Oyster Cult, The Bacon Brothers, and Kansas.
