Pop Rock

Jason Frost is best known for his association with the Seattle grunge movement of the early 90's which included bands such as Nirvana, Soundgarden, Marcy Playground and others. For the past decade, Jason Frost has remained an underground member of the independent rock artist community. He also served briefly in the US military during those years where he was missing from the music scene. His home on the Internet is JasonFrost.com where more of his music and latest developments can be found online.

Band/artist history

In 1991, Jason Frost got his start in rock music while attending The Evergreen State College in Olympia, WA (near Seattle) where he played coffee houses, small clubs and parties. Many of the grunge bands like Nirvana and Marcy Playground started out in this town. He jammed and practiced in warehouse space previously rented to Nirvana, Marcy Playground and others. He played in Band Alley where he shared space with some of the biggest names in rock music, at the time. Splitting costs and sharing warehouse space formerly rented and occupied by Nirvana with his then college dorm roommate John Wozniak of the Marcy Playground, he developed a keen understanding and interest in the music business. Penning numerous songs and honing his songwriting skills, he was making his mark in the local performing arts community and churning out 2 to 3 songs a day. Often writing funny and humorous songs about people he knew including one about his roommate, "Johnny So Bored" which later appeared on Blue Moon & Company CD#1 around the same time Marcy Playground's "Sex and Candy" was receiving national airplay and climbing the Billboard charts for the first time. For the past decade, Jason Frost has remained an underground member of the independent rock artist community working with both other artists as a collaborator and stage crew technician, helping to organize and promote shows and charity events at both a local and national level. He also served briefly in the US military during these years where he was missing from the music scene. NOW, after disappearing from the music scene for what felt like forever, Jason returns with a positive attitude and an unmatched hunger to bring his special blend of music and unique spirit to the masses. He is once again ready to perform and record music. Thus we give you the return of Jason (Roman) Frost, a true rock soldier! The next CD, "Rome, The Empire Never Ended: The 'Angel Manifesto' project" will most likely feature the work of past and present contributing members. It will also include very unique and fresh collaborations from other members of the independent rock artist community (including a few guest cameos and covers from well known famous musicians from rock 'n' roll history). So if you would like to work on this project or contribute, just let him know. If you are a distributor, producer or record executive interested in funding, supporting or signing "Jason Frost & the Love Junkies," for this album project, future albums or distribution of previous albums then please contact Jason Frost by leaving a message with A Frosty J Productions (ASCAP) 863-245-6755 or by sending an E-mail to biz.support@FrostyJ.com

Have you performed in front of an audience?

Yes, best times were small impromptu shows miles from civilization, and in the middle of nowhere. At like Grateful Dead/Phish outdoor type gatherings and barter festivals when that whole hypnotic and dreamy jam atmosphere is in full effect.
