Progressive Rock

Japanese Girlfriend is a band with a hard rock attitude.

Band/artist history

Japanese Girlfriend was founded in autumn of the year 2000. The band is one of Denmarks new up-comming rock bands and its critics has shown a postive reaction to their music. Their first EP "Japanese Girlfriend", was released with five different songs in the category of soft rock to hard rock just to show their critics what the band is capable of playing. In 2004 their new EP "Dressed in teen" will be released(May). This time the band has found their right path to their beloved music - Hard rock with a good toutch of melody. The EP has 4 well produced rock songs which shows that they mean business. The idea of their name for the band, comes from an old punk song called "A Brand New Japanese Girlfriend". A song from a former band called Skilob. A band in which the leadsinger Claus Arvad and drummer Mikkel Andreasen once played together in.
