January, the beginning of many things to most, but for the band, it's a simple concept to music. Headed by Gabriel Castano (vocals) with captivating lyrics and a sweet, sultry edge, January brings a feel of jazz and funk into their rock music. While Juan Romano (lead guitar) provides the laid back vibe, Lewis Salazar (guitar) lets you sink into the alluring rhythm and groove. Jean Acosta (bass) sets the tone that hits the spot, and the newest addition, Zeus (drums), keeps the pace going. It's no surprise that great talent will create a great sound, especially in the eyes of any January fanthey just keep crawling back for more.
Withstanding the fallout of many members, Gabriel has kept January alive since high school. After several years of exploration, the present crew undeniably proved his determination to find the right sound with the right people. Experimentation has transformed January's music from alternative rock to the soulful sounds of jazz and folk as defined in Just a Kid and Would You Mind.
With a feeding number of listeners, January conveys many honest experiences, but with one message: If life ever tries to get the best of you, always stop and think ...things will be better when January comes around.Have you performed in front of an audience?Yes, the band currently has shows set up throughout Florida and California.
