"We'd like to thank Richard O'Brian's Rocky Horror Show..."Band/artist history
Coming from a variety of backgrounds, the members of Janet's Vice have one mission: to have fun and avoid writing boring music. Vocalist, songwriter, and rhythm guitar player, Naomi Ulsted, has been writing music for over ten years. Up until she began playing with the other band members in Astoria, Oregon, her music was generally played for open-mic and coffee houses, and mostly, her front porch. Once the band came together, those songs took on a new and powerful life. Using poetic lyrics and unusual rhythms, the songs evoke images of longing, hope and change. Several songs are co-written by the band members, who varied musical styles give the group a unique quality not seen frequently in the mainstream. Dave Gager has been playing drums in various bands for over 20 years. In the '80's, he indulged himself in harder edged rock & fusion, as well as a mullet hairdo. Fortunately for Janet's Vice, he's lost the mullet, but not the talent. Keyboard player, Brett Marconeri, has been in the music scene for several years, and brings his experience with big band swing, rock, blues and jazz. His musical versatility brings another level of interest to the group. Lead guitarist, Brian Frech, has contributed his talents in numerous bands, able to play the most complex and intricate guitar styles with ease. Bass player, Don Burgette brings a funky and solid groove to Janet's Vice.Have you performed in front of an audience? We play out as much as possible... Right now, the studio is where we've been making the most noise though....
