Jack Is Back
An infectious alternative rock band from Göttingen, Germany.

Hoochie Hand Grenade Hoochie Hand Grenade
The first song we ever set about learning. It was completed within a few weeks and would have been done much quicker if we had actually known each other properly! We stuck to the original structure and improvised all our parts.

He Doesn't Know Any Better He Doesn't Know Any Better
One of our live favourites, and probably our favourite to play. It was a real band effort with everybody contributing ideas and we built the song up by building up the intro and verses, splitting the chorus in two and crafting a neat outro.

Whiskey & Gin Whiskey & Gin
Another song that came pretty thick and fast. Lukasz came up with a catchy lead guitar line and Sebastian and Will gave the song a powerful rhythm.

It's Up To Me It's Up To Me
This song was musically complete in January 2004 but it lacked vocals and was finished off in time for the Cafe Kreuzberg gig in May 2004. Undoubtedly Lukasz's best contribution to Jack Is Back!

Spinning All Around Spinning All Around
This tune was completed in early 2004 and was given lyrics in May. It was a hard old slog getting the song together but once it was finished it was a pleasure to play. Sebastian added a demon bass line and Lukasz had a good wank on the guitar!
Soaring vocals, scorching guitars, wall-bending bass and thundering drums - we are Jack Is Back!
Jack Is Back is made up of the following members . . .
Ryan Lancaster - Vocals, Guitar, Mandolin & Accordion
Lukasz Jaroszyñski - Guitar
Sebastian Petersen - Bass & Violin
Will Jones - Drums & Percussion
Jack Is Back came into existence in October 2003 in Göttingen, Germany when Will contacted Ryan after seeing a note Ryan had left in the University about guitar lessons. Soon after we linked up with Lukasz and Sebastian and were playing and writing by mid-November. Our first gig was at a Christmas party in December of that year and over the course of the next seven months we did six more gigs, two of them being headlines at Göttingen's most prestigious venues (Kreuzberg Cafe and the Nörgelbuff). In July 2004 we completed our demo album One For The Road, which contained crowd pleasers Hoochie Hand Grenade, Whiskey & Gin and Rose and some classic covers, including storming versions of Folsem Prison Blues by Johnny Cash and Creedence Clearwater Revival's Proud Mary.
Sadly we have had to disband the band. Will left the band to return home in July 2004 and Ryan left Germany to start a new job in Scotland in February 2005.
