Mr. Darby's Sheep Mr. Darby's Sheep
This is a song I remember from childhood. It was on a 33-1/3 record by Merle Travis, I believe. After listening to this, you should be encouraged in your singing/playing :-o I am told that this clip has inspired tens of thousands ...maybe millions...

Band/artist history
Well, after waiting a long time to start, I began my initial writing at age 60, several years ago. I have learned so much since that time but realize there is much more to learn. I wish I had begun writing much younger.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
Play live at home and for my grandchildren.

WOW !!!! It is so good to hear from you James and Snny. You made my day. Really, I had been thinking a lot about you guys and your prospecting. I will get my new gold panning kit (bought about 10 years ago in Dahlonega Georgia, start to use it. There were several gold mines in Spartanburg County, where I live, in years gone by. As a matter of fact, there is a small township near me "New Prospect" that is said to have developed when a new strike was uncovered there.
I must confess that the voice on "You Were Right and I Just Left" was Skip Gosnell who also did the music. I woke up one morning in 2003 at age 60 and began writing songs. That is evident from the songs themselves :-) Thanks to James and others I have learned a lot.
Got an e-mail this week from someone who might record one of my parody songs of George Jones "She Thinks I Steal Chairs". Is that ridiculous or not ??
Do you guys still get mail at the same address?
We love you guys.
Don and Emily
