The history of IRONY began in the year 2000. The first line-up with Jörg Billeb (Ex-Anisy, dr.), Mehmet Bulut (voc.), Robert Kerner (gtr.), Max Endele (gtr.) and Wicky (bass) recorded the debut-album called Release the Beast. The band received to, even very good criticism.In the years 2002 and 2003 they played a lot of concerts with bands just like Destinations calling, Seven of Nine, Legacy, Spiral Tower, Mortifier, Electro Baby and Majesty and so they got the chance to show their potential on stage, too.After some different changes in the line-up and after Mehmet and Jimmy, the latest guitarplayer had left the band, the perfect line-up was found in November 2004 with Nicolaj Ruhnow as lead singer, Manuel Förderer on the guitar, Achim Rauscher on the guitar, Paul Geiger on the bassguitar and Jörg Billeb on the drums. The guys entered the well-known recording studio Beat House and recorded, together with Tony Scrivens, a 3-Track-EP within two days. The result of the work was the Best ever heard from IRONY!Since February 2005 a lot of very good reviews from important Metal Mags have reached the camp of IRONY and showed them very clearly, that the chemistry within the band is working now. The guys are looking forward to starting work on their second full-length album, right now in 2005. IRONY will go their own way, with a clear style, a sharp and accurate sound and with the unbelievable support of their fans. There is a lot more to come!
