He was born in Athens. He is a graduate of Musicology, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Faculty of Fine Arts, School of Music Studies.
He studied piano at the National Conservatory, Music Theory and Harmony (National Conservatory, New Conservatory of Thessaloniki) and Byzantine Music (New Conservatory of Thessaloniki). In 1993 he completed his Diploma Thesis entitled "Applications of Mathematics, Psychoacoustics and Informatics to the Musical Intervals and Modes of Byzantine Music", under the supervision of Assistant Professor at the School of Physics of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Mr. Ch. Spyridis. His works with synthesizers and computers have been presented in various cities of Greece.
In 2011 he received a Master's Degree in Electroacoustic Music Composition from the Department of Music Studies of the Ionian University under the supervision of Associate Professor Mr. Andreas Mniestris.
He lives in Kalabaka and works at the Trikala Music School as a professor of European Music Theory and Music Technology.
