Rap

Alright, here goes. I been listenin to rap/hip-hop/R&B since i was basically a seed. I remeber when i was a kid and watchin Run DMC one video and then seein Michael Jackson on the next and thinkin he was a girl. I was about 2, so yeah I guess i was basically a seed. I really started gettin into gangster rap when Tha Row took off. The rest is history. Besides Tha Row, i was feelin the Wu and Nas as well. How many 3rd graders you know bumpin the W? HAHA
Have you performed in front of an audience?
I play a little bit. Basically just by ear though. I do all my ish in my bedroom with minimal equipment, but i make it work. And yes, i love it. But, the downside, it's very hard to keep a female around when all you wanna do is music........and sex. HAHA
Your musical influences
Damn!!!! Long list of producers. But here goes in no particular order. Dre, Quik, Daz, DeVante, Battlecat, Bosko, Big Hollis, Sam Bostic, Mike Mosely, Rick Rock, Mike Dean ,Hi-Tek, Legendary Traxster, Phonk Beta, Rza, Salaam Remi, Mannie Fresh, Kanye, Ecay Uno, Thizz Entertainment, Goldie Loc (Who sounds alot like Battlecat), Johnny J, Khayree, Neptunes, DJ U-Neek, 2pac (Who yes, has produced), RonnZfromBerlin ( Tech N9ne has never sounded better), XL Middleton, Soopafly, King (check out T-Nutty), 9th Wonder, 7 Aurelius, Pete Rock, Warren G, George Clinton, Havoc, Roger Troutman, KLC from Beats By The Pound, Q-Tip (tight drums), KG (kills it when Raided spits on his shit), Eminem, Mr. Porter, E-Swift, Swizz Beatz, DJ Screw, Timbaland, Jellyroll, DURO, Shock G, Alchemist, E-A-Ski, Mel Man, Binky (hooks up all the Westside Connection affiliates), Blaqthoven, Studio Ton, QD3, Tone Capone,, Mark Knoxx & Goldfingaz (check out Spice 1 & MC Eiht - The Pioneers, it's HEAT!!!), Brian McKnight (makes beautiful music..only word for it), Buckwild, Just Blaze, Scott Storch, Mark Sparks, R. Kelly, Megahertz, Jermaine Dupri (i hate to say it, but he's one of the best of all time....check the charts), Eric Sermon, Rocwilder, Cold 187um, Damizza, Lil Jon, No I.D., Fredwreck, DJ Lethal, DJ Muggs, DJ Paul and Juicy J, DJ Yella, Domino, Babyface, Ice Cube (It's FRIDAY!!!!) Hutton, Meech Wells, Raphael Saadiq, Rhythem D, Sam Sneed, Soul Diggaz, Wolverine (did work with local people in the P-Town....YEA!!!) DIZZZZZANM!!!! that took alot of freakin brain power. Any of these producer's i've listed are usually more dope than not. There's also like a butt-load of R&B producer's that i really don't know of. They just got tight, melodic type $hits, but there's too many to name.
What equipment do you use?
Not much, but....I use Sonic Foundry Sound Forge (ALOT!!!), Roland Fantom S-88 (about to get an Alsesis Ion to get those sick Mob Shit basslines. ya dig?) Cool Edit Pro, I got a talk box, but it's not up an runnin yet (Can't WAIT!!!!). Ok, i'm not proud to say it but i do use Fruity Loops 5 (which i like to call Fruity Poops 5) to senquence all of my beatz. So, yes, i'm not a pro...yet.
Anything else?
