INHOPESOFANEXIT, formed in June 2004, is a five piece band formed by friends who share a passionate love for music and the music scene. IHOAE combines various musical styles together to form their own unique sound within the Hardcore genre. Recently the band has released a 4 song Sampler and are gearing up for a string of intense live shows in Toronto and neighboring citys.
In Hopes Of An Exit: July of 2004 sparked the beginning of a new breed of music, In Hopes Of An Exit. All members of previous bands, Jason Saldana, Odran, Joe Zentil, Mike Lynch and Dave collided in an attempt to produce a unique and familiar sound that they could satisfy themselves with. The advantage came quite unexpectedly as not all members were friends to begin with, but practically strangers! Coming from different bands and types of music in the past, the amount of creativity and individuality shone through instantly. Influences such as Thursday, Alexisonfire, The Used, and Taking Back Sunday inspired the band and has taken an obvious, yet mesmerizing effect to their sound. One thing the band had in common was a passion for music, and the effort and motivation to go along with it. In no time at all, the band started writing songs and promoting themselves as much as possible. In late August, the band recorded a 4 song EP with someone they had been referred by, and immediately the band gained an enormous amount of popularity and respect in what they knew as the hardcore scene. With a photo shoot on their shoulders, the band began distributing their demo and showing the public what IHOAE was all about. Two short months had passed and the band began booking shows consistently. With an explosive string of live shows on the way, the band only plans on progressing and exceeding their every goal. Look for IHOAE in the future, for this band not only has the potential to succeed, but the skills, motivation, passion and experience to get it done well.
