Electronica

Ingrid Tornado is a loose band of electronica collaborators. There is me, Ingrid, and Grism and Sonja. We have been friends for some time and have started composing electronica - originally for our own enjoyment and parties. We found a lot of commercial music bland, and thought "well, lets make our own". I have a history in music - I played violin when I was a student, and I was in the school orchestra. I have studied music theory and my influences cut through all genres. Good music is good music. About 3 years ago, I started playing with computer music. I love acoustic music, but I can't afford an acoustic studio, so my main method of composition is through electronica. I have come to love and appreciate electronic music.
Band/artist history
We started some years ago on just amature home music production.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
Not at the moment...
Your musical influences
We all like all kinds of music actually - from classical masters such as Prokofiev to contemporary electronica such as Above and Beyond. We think the attributes of good music transcends genres - but basically it must be able to take you somewhere effortlessly.
What equipment do you use?
Midi controllers, decent computer with loads of Ram, and mainly Reason with some old Harman Kardon speakers from the early 90's but still sound hot. We render the music and crank it up on a Cambridge Audio system - so we master it specifically for this system.
