Tension, heartache, unnecessary pain Tension, heartache, unnecessary pain

A dark ambient piece which is almost perfect for a film score, especially with what comes at the three minute mark.

The spiders legs entangle with the sea horse The spiders legs entangle with the sea horse

The most beaty, accessible track so far from Incandescence, still retaining the darkness. This track has given me a heightened confidence.

Track 12 from Chapter Two.

Off kilter tranquillity at 6am Off kilter tranquillity at 6am

Track 11 from Chapter Two. Chordy intro makes way for dark, intense, film score-esque majestic sounds, with a very trancey middle section and calming ending on the same theme. A favourite of the new pieces, in fact overall since the start.

Experimental Sounds

incandescence (nkn-dsns) n. 1. The emission of visible light by a hot object. 2. The light emitted by an incandescent object. 3. A high degree of emotion, intensity, or brilliance. --- Well, this page needs a bit of updating, which hopefully I'll get to pretty soon. A quick update though on the Incandescence world. The project has now recorded EIGHT albums, with more in the works. The first 4 were all with a good amount of 'normal' length songs, then there were 3 albums that had tracks over an hour long on them, more as soundscapes rather than 'proper' songs, and then album eight was a remix album, where I tackled a dozen songs by other people, including King Crimson, Necrophagist, Kampfar, Twin Zero and more. These are all available, so get in touch if you are interested. ON THIS PAGE, ALL THE TRACKS FROM THE FIRST TWO INCANDESCENCE ALBUMS ARE AVAILABLE TO LISTEN TO. I'LL HOPEFULLY GET MORE POSTED UP PRETTY SHORTLY. A MYSPACE PAGE HAS BEEN CREATED AT WITH DETAILS FOR BUYING ALL THE ALBUMS, AND ALSO THERE ARE A FEW OTHER LATER SONGS ON THERE. KEEP CHECKING BACK :-)
Band/artist history
Solo project of Paul. Ex member of Canvas (Sounds and Samples), Tangaroa and Narcosis (Bass). Also done ambient project Eye of Phetkanha with Moof. Current member of Reth, and also been involved in a few other random projects and recordings (Fuck*ing Hostel, Slam). Incandescence is an electro project that has no pigeonholing, over the course of xx amount of releases in the future, there will be everything from doom ambience to more upbeat, odd, twisted, jazzy noise and beats.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
Not played live with Incandescence, but played around 250 shows all over Europe with all my past bands Canvas, Tangaroa and Narcosis, and current band . Also done a few other shows with Dimitrodak and Bathroom City.
Your musical influences
Everyone and everything is an influence. What is the point in being on this Earth if you don't make use of everything you see, hear and come across in the daily routine? Bands I love and that have changed my life:- Meshuggah, Dillinger Escape Plan, Nile, Cryptopsy, Botch, Gorgoroth, Emperor, Enslaved, Aphex Twin, Radio Massacre International, Squarepusher, Coalesce, Catharsis, King Crimson, Orbital. I have literally thousands of CD's, and every single one has played a part in bringing me to the place I am in now, musically and generally.
What equipment do you use?
Soundforge and Fruity Loops currently the main two programmes I use.
Anything else?
