When Impulse takes the stage you know it! The bands energetic live performance has attracted attention from all who have seen them play.
Reigning from Toronto, ON, Canada, IMPULSE has a Balls to the Wall, Go Big or Go Home sound that is sure to satisfy those who like their rock melodic and heavy.
Canadian Music Fest 2010 saw Impulse perform at Torontos Opera House where they released their new hit Welcome to the Party, written with producer Joel Kazmi. Mid 2010 Impulse released their own 100% self Funded, shot and produced video of Welcome to the Party, drawing the attention & accolades of Alan Cross (Explore Music.com). IMPULSE hosted the release of their first full-length cd A View From You in June of 2009. The Band also saw air-play on Canadian College radio of their 4 song demo earlier that year.
Band members Mark Coleman (vocals) and T.J. Edelkoort (drums) had played together previously before finding Adrian Desousa(lead) on an online musician billboard. A new project began and the four developed solid songs from a wide range of influences such as: Sevendust, Tool, Motley Crue, Alice in Chains, Pink Floyd, Soilwork, Foo Fighters, and Chimaira. After a challenging eight-month search for a bass player, Jesica Moniz was added to the mix and the band was complete.
Pure, melodic and nasty raw vocals coupled with powerful, edgy guitars and a booming assault of rhythm has impressed representatives from Sony music Canada, Road Runner Records and Warner Music Canada.
Currently gigging the Greater Toronto Area and beyond, IMPULSE is preparing to rock at the Opera House Mar.13th for Canadian Music Fest 2011 & the Y108 Rock N Roll Challenge semi finals in April 2011.
