Band/artist history
Started back in november of 99, some after i was admitted into a crew formed by my brother which was called "Lyrical Plague". I got to work real soon, using info off the internet boards and all, i collected enough info to start us off on making cds. The first cd we made was called "Lyrical Plague: Born 2 Blaze". Featuring the crew members of that time; Virus, Mystery, Backwords, and me, Impulse. Soon after that, i finished my 1st Solo cd called "The creation". After that, the crew started to fall apart by late 2000. Virus moved out, and Mystery was to busy most the time with work and family. Leaving just me and my brother (backwords). Short while after that, we recruited 2 more emcees, Verssatile, and Diztort. Diztort made his cd, and really soon after that Backwordz and Diztort made a crew cd named "DNA: Jump into the fire". While they were making that, me and Verssatile created a group cd called "Explicit Actions". Explicit Actions made that step further, and thats when we really started to get notice by local people. We decided after that to change the name "Lyrical Plague" to "Vital" since 2 of the orginal members were gone, and 2 more were recruited. About 6 months went by, and in the process of making our next cd named "Planet Rhyme" crew member Diztort got booted from the crew. Leaving it only 3 of us to finish the cd. We finished the cd succesfully, and threw our first "cd release party" at the legend hall. Performed at alot of shows, and other places to advertise the cd. Around the beginning of 2002 we met up with local artist group "RSK". We are now almost finished with our compilation with them, and we have decided together that we will run a idependant label called "spot blown". Where of now, Vital is working on there Double Disc Cd called "Let em Burn, Let em Learn" which should be completed around new years coming up.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
I play live with my crew alot, such as show opening, cd released parties, or just at someones house. I love performing live, its the best adrenaline rush, especially if the crowd is drunk..haha, they hype that shit uppppp....
Your musical influences
Im really feelin 50 cent, Eminem, Fat Joe, and other artist as well. I like the "battle" tip they all give out, and the "truth and ruthless" tactics they use in their music.
What equipment do you use?
I use my computer, my condensor microphone (behringer b-2), my mixer (eurorack), soundcard (soundblaster audigy), and software.
Anything else?
Peep my shit yo!
