first off, we are new wave/post punk, for all of you who need that genre tag because ya just can't make out what the hell we do? lol.
secondly, we are all about music and the real meaning behind a song, emotion and honesty, no matter who we offend lyrically. from first listen, on most of our songs, you would have no idea of the intense lyrical content woven into the beautifully layered sound scape.Band/artist history
ikonoki was formed solely as a studio project by s.tutorow in 1999. in 2001 ikonoki became a five piece which quickly ending up in three. recently added to the line-up, melissa cale (synths & keys).

Winner of the Modern Rock category at the New York Independent Music Festival held in Las Vegas in late July, 2003.Have you performed in front of an audience?ikonoki's last performance was in early august of 2003 at the new york independent music festival (winners of the modern rock catergory) in las vegas nevada. guitarist walked out on us three days into the festival and in mid 2004 drummer was released. ikonoki is now currently a three piece and is in the studio rehearsing for shows to promote the new albums.

My sister and I love this song very much.
Enjoyed 'Lighthouse' I felt it created a subtle mood atmospheric with the integration of evolving synth and vocal phrase. The arrangement reminds me of Teardrop Explodes, E+Bunnymen. The vocals reminded of Morrisey. The lyrics are a captivating narrative retaining sardonic irony. So I stationed. Cheers G
