From Portland, Oregon's underground weekly hip hop jams and late night dub sessions comes Uprite Dub Orchestra. Purveyors of finely crafted downtempo beats and high-energy party music since 2001, Uprite dub always delivers an outstanding performance, anything to keep the booty skankin'. Uprite dub is a band inspired by the rockers/dub era of Jamaican Reggae, first and second wave Ska, modern Dub, and the relationships between Hip-hop and Dancehall. It was Augustus Pablo, King Tubby, and Lee 'Scratch' Perry that specifically influenced the creation of Uprite dub Orchestra. Uprite always delivers an outstanding performance. Apocalyptic horns lure patrons to the dance floor as snare-hits and guitar skanks echo through the dubmaster's soundboard off the walls and the bass drops bombs down unsuspecting ear holes. By the end of the night, you know it's alright: Uprite knows how to keeps the dubs right.
