Olive Tree Music Ltd in conjunction with PSM Recordings USA release ‘A Pair
of Olive Leaves’ the debut CD by Poetz4Peace. ‘A Pair of Olive Leaves’ has
already received excellent reviews from DJs and music critics all around the
world from USA to Korea London to Nicosia. Poetz4Peace are acquiring
respect due to their unique blend of rhythms and lyrics. Musically, they are
about harmony and a sense of defying the boundaries. Cultures clash, combine
and fuse, creating a world melting pot where reggae stylings and hip hop
‘riddims’ encounter the bouzouki and dumblek layered with conscious,
original, soul-searching lyrics.
Poetz4Peace are a group of poets, singers, musicians, and studio personnel
who believe true world peace can be achieved through the universal language
of music. Much of the creative process was done through the magic of cyber
space. Olive Tree Music and Poetz4Peace first came together via the Internet
exchanging beats, ideas and lyrics online. After completing the recording
the group developed the first cyber music label based in Cyprus. One of the

The Bi-communal Development Programme (BDP) has provided valuable support to
Poetz4Peace by helping them not only in the release of this first CD but
also in organizing workshops, inviting new young artists to participate and
prepare for their second CD, scheduled for next spring. The BDP is funded
by the United States Agency for International Development and the United
Nations Development Programme, and is implemented in Cyprus by the United
Nations Office for Project Services. The BDP contributes to peace-building
and co-operation throughout the island with projects benefiting both Greek
Cypriots and Turkish Cypriots in areas of common interest. Particular focus
is given to the following sectors: governance and civil society, public
infrastructure, public and animal health, environment, humanitarian
assistance, education and culture, and information and communication
technology.
