Have you ever been to a show and seen a group that changes the way you think about music? Have you ever put on an album and every time you listen to you hear something new and different each time you play it?
Welcome to the New Dealers - Best New Album, the next step in music’s ever changing evolution. This group has been together as a musical unit for almost 10 years and have crafted their own blend of Live Hip Hop, which is captured on this 14 song debut. With big, powerful live and looped drums, throbbing bass, and a guitar and keyboard soundscape, Hop Hop is just one of this band's influences, as you can hear for your self on this CD. From Grant Green to Bad Brains, to the deep and heavy orchestration of Pink Floyd, and the sonic fury of N.W.A., this melting pot of sounds and styles make up only half the story.
The other half is populated with a sense of Dancehall urgency, hardcore mechanics and lyrical static. EmDee, SelfUnity and Jr. Robby weave across all the lanes of the mental highway with their approach to words as art!
Seven pieces forming a "constructicon" to tear down any stage place underneath them, this group has owned the San Francisco Bay Area for the past half dozen years. The New Dealers have rocked the Filmore, Slims, Bottom of the Hill, and major music conferences like South By Southwest, North By Northwest, and Nadine's Wild Weekend.
