Adrian Xavier - R. Nature IDC Cat #0010 / SGR002-2 Adrian Xavier Solo CD Release Out Now Although listeners may immediately identify the new release by Adrian Xavier as situated in the reggae genre, a careful listen will sail them through DanceHall, elements of Hip-Hop, warm isles of smooth soul, jazz, and even rock. The new CD, "R.Nature," reveals an artist who is an intrepid traveler in the musical as well as geographic sense. Judging from the number of Seattle clubs and events at which Adrian Xavier has played, youd deduce he likes his hometown fine, but he expects to reach even more far-flung audiences with the release of his solo debut,R. Nature. Adrian, who has worked with artists such as Spearhead and original members of Heart in the Geoffrey Castle Band, also caught the attention of filmmaker Mark Levin (Slam, Brooklyn Babylon) who proclaimed, "Adrian's music is my new soundtrack." On Adrian Xavier's solo release, "R. Nature," he collaborates with many musicians he has previously worked with on Seattle stages, at festivals throughout the western US, and in studios around the world. His band for the new album and live shows includes members of Dub Championz, Geoffrey Castle Band, Clinton Fearon, Maya Soleil, and Karl Densonís Tiny Universe. Adrian explains the motivation behind the positivity to be found in lyrics throughout R. Nature, These songs reflect my concern for the future of the planet. The CD is dedicated, with thanks to my many inspirations, to equal rights, truth and justice, the healing rains of peace and love, and to healing our nature in our hearts, minds, spirits and souls. After a recent show at WSU in Pullman, WA, The Daily Evergreen described Adrian Xaviers performance, brought original compositions and lyrics together with a social message. "I'm trying to break down the divisions of religion, politics, and race to unite all". Adrian explained to the Evergreen's music critic, "I'm trying to break things down to the roots and help out the world in any way I can. I know we're living in really serious times right now, and I am trying to better the future of the world." Adrian, in the role of "musician as traveler," will log in many miles as he tours the west coast in support of the new CD, and is poised for tour stops in Europe and Japan later in the year.
