Violineage X4 Violineage X4
A 909-tastic dance-driven remix of Vivaldi's Concerto for 4 Violins. I am particularly fond of the synth solo at 1:35.
Polyxo Polyxo
Originally known as Electro, this dance song features lots of unique sounds and a simple bassline.
Solomon Squared Solomon Squared
Relying heavily on its chord progression, this dance tune features plenty of trance elements to keep it interesting.
Abstractis Goa Abstractis Goa
A relatively old ambient piece that features a dark atmosphere and some trip-hop elements.
Phaola Phaola
The final song created for The Rainmaker, this curious yet tragic Trance song features an interesting chord progression, and my first inclusion of a breakbeat section. Created specifically for hardcore Trance listeners.

Hyades D4 welcomes you to his Soundclick page. I'm a crazy electronica producer who uses a Mac computer and plays the cello. What more could you ask for?Band/artist history
Electronica Timeline:
Summer 2004- I make a full 1 hour and 20 minute CD using only premade loops, sometimes slightly altered. Not very good, but it's how I learned the basics of arrangement, and it brings back memories.
Fall 2004- I begin arranging MIDI files of video game music form vgmusic.com, and learn more about arrangement and other tricks of the software
-Also at this time I begin taking music technology class in school and start to learn how to compose my own, although simple, songs. The course quickly became too easy for me, and I got some respect from my less musically-enhanced classmates.
Winter-Spring 2004-05- I finally get my keyboard hooked up to my computer and make a full CD of originals. They have lots of clipping and general lack of polish, but they still hold a place as a step above my previous work, not to mention some pretty good melodies. I also got a software expansion pack during this time, and that helped me out.
September 2005- I begin to take Music Technology 2, and I am actually challenged by it and learn a lot from it, unlike most of Music Tech 1.
October 2005- I sign up for vgmix.com, a site dedicated to remixing the nostalgic music of video games and providing comprehensive feedback for each "vgmixer." However, due to problems in registering my account, I have just started getting it up and running and have yet to recieve much feedback.
December 2005- I recieve Garageband 2 and go crazy with it. The jump in song quality in the last few months prompts me to add the Hyades onto my name. I have transformed, and a new day is upon us.
January 2006- The sad end of Music Tech 2 results in tears and laughter. I have some good memories of being a god in that class. Some pretty good stuff churned out of my brain when I was there. As soon as I get my work in Music Tech on CD, I'll post it here.
August 2007: My latest album, The Rainmaker, is finished.
Present- My work is at its best level yet and continues to rise. Whatever the future holds, it looks good.
Cello Timeline:
Fall 2000- Way back in 5th grade, I pick up the cello
Fall 2002-7th grade- I begin taking private lessons, and my cello skillz soar to new heights. Playing the cello becomes very important to me.
Winter 2004-8th grade- In the high school, there are 2 string orchestras, one by audition and one not. I try out for the better one, and make it!
Fall 2004- After a nice summer, school begins again and I start playing with the String Ensemble, the more advanced group. My town has an excellent strings program, and I benefit from it to the fullest. Especially great is the trip to Disney World every 4 years, and I happened to go freshman year.
Fall 2005- I try out for the Senior Southeast District Orchestra (Massachusetts). I had tried out for the Jr. District orchestra in the past, but never made it. I didn't get in this time either, BUT there was a mob of competition and the results were very close. My score was 99 (not out of 100) and the cutoff score for entry was 103. So close! Either way, I am still very proud of the score because it was a vast and wide improvement over my abilities last year.
Decemberish 2005- I am very serious about my cello playing now. I am currently 4th chair out of 10 in the orchestra, even though I absolutely blew my chair audition at the beginning of the year because my bow had broken a few days before and I didn't get to practice. There is another chair audition at midyear, maybe I can move up...
Febuary 2005- No chair audition, but something much better happens around now. Our instructor and the conductor of the local Plymouth Philharmonic Orchestra are tight, so we got to play with the orchestra at a concert. It was pretty awesome.
November 2006: Whoa, I'm first chair all of a sudden.
September 2007: I'm a senior in high school now, and still serving as the dictator of the cello section.Have you performed in front of an audience?I play my cello live at concerts and recitals and stuff...

Depeche ModeWhat equipment do you use?
I use nothing special or expensive. I'm not sure what kind of keyboard I have, but it serves its purpose well. My software is Garageband, for Mac, which came with the computer. It is designed to be easy to use but can still make some pretty great stuff when you push it to its limits.
*UPDATE*
I now use the M-audio Firewire Solo audio interface, along with an AKG Perception 200 mic. The in-ur-face interface also came with M-Audio's Live Lite 4 and GT Player express effects software (not very good).Anything else?
I'm on a mission, a mission to find out what other people think of my music. The internet, especially soundclick, has helped me get one step closer to achieving my goal of opinion. But the next step, and probably the most important one, comes from you. So tell me what you think! Spread the word! Knowledge (of me) is power.
