Basically this is the product of me wanting to make music all the damn time, and because I'm a varied person, I decided to try out electronic stuff. And thus is Hurtdeer. I don't promise it to be good, but I do make this for myself- but if you like it, thank you for doing so.
Band/artist history
I've been playing music as a performer for about 3 years now, and I decided I wanted to continue writing music even when I'm not around whatever bandmembers I'm in. So I found myself a copy of Fruity Loops and Logic, brought out all my instruments, and started writing. Right now, it's all been mostly pure electronic stuff, but it's always evolving as is bound to happen with a music taste as varied as mine.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
Not with Hurtdeer, no, that wouldn't be very easy to do. But I've played live with other bands I've been involved in, normally on guitar or bass. Sometimes drums.

Aphex Twin, Plaid, Boards of Canada, Squarepusher, Modest Mouse, Sufjan Stevens, Gorillaz, The Arcade Fire, The Shins, Mouse on Mars, Sage Francis, Buck 65, Venetian Snares, Radiohead
What equipment do you use?
ll my electronic stuff I do in Fruity Loops 5. For the live instrument stuff, I use Logic Platinum, and maybe a bit of Fruity Loops for any backround noise and drums. My instruments include an Alesis QS6 Synthesizer, A Cort G290 Electric Guitar, A Cort Artisan A4 Electric Bass and a Cort MR 780FX Electro-Acoustic Guitar.
