"I don't know what they do in Canada, but whatever it is their bands sure do like to combine emo rock with hardcore. Following in the footsteps of fellow Canadians Jonah and Grade, Human Breed combine screamy, metallic hardcore with the lighter, more sensitive emotional side of indie rock, making for a sound that reminds of the previously mentioned bands. I especially appreciate the apparent mid-'90s screamo influence on their sound. Keep an eye on this band as I'm sure they'll be making waves." - Invisible Youth
Human Breed, based in Montreal, was formed in 1998, the band has gone through some line up changes since then, but founders Keven (guitar) and Hugo (bass) never stopped writing intense and emotional music. Human Breed's first recording session in 1999 was self-released as a 4 song demo CD (Hoping, A Chance Of Hopeless). Including songs like "Insane" and "Your Smile Is My Strength", the demo quickly brought attention to the band and surely made heads turn all over the underground scene. In 2001, the band became the first Tuned To You recording artists as the work on their debut full length CD entitled "Among Millions Of Faceless Human Beings" began. The release will be available in July of 2002. Human Breed never ended their devotion to the music scene and today, it is safe to say the guys in Human Breed are here to stay and they will continue to bring their energetic, intense and emotional live performances to a wider audience!
