Band members, Craig Ostrom, JD Sinclair, Kriss Rothenbuhler & Sean Westerfield, serve up an eclectic platter of rhythmic Blues & Funky grooves thus coining the name "Blues with a Groove". Howlin' Wood's repetoir includes traditional as well as original tunes in Howlin' Wood's own flavor of Blues, Rock, Country and Jazzy originals.
Howlin' Wood plays a generous portion of 60's era folk rock, highly seasoned R&B and a handful of contemperary tunes. Howlin' Wood strives to surprise audiences with something fresh and different. Definately a performance band, their shows weave music & jest to create a fun-filled night of comedic musical performances.
Howlin' Wood is proud to announce the addition of "Serenity", a 3 part female vocal team. The Serenity vocal harmony's are amazing and will leave you wanting for more!Band/artist history

CraigO has been playing around the local music scene for years. His playing has been described as "..tasty Bo Diddley style", but more often is referred to as " How the hell does he do that!!?" CraigO's energetic guitar work and dynamic vocals lead Howlin' Wood, and often in some heretofore unexplored directions.

Kriss adds awsome style to Howlin' Woods' a-rhythmical wheelings often trading & doubling lines with the bass player only to belt out riveting solos that make veterans wish they had her lungs. Another new & upcoming talent, She can also do with a couple of cheese burgers, dang!
JDBass-likes playin' in the pocket and appreciates a drummer like minded. Not afraid to experiment, JD likes to mix it up a little. Groovin' and punchin' with the local king of percussion, his solid & sometimes melodic bass lines add incredible diversity to an already wayward band.
SeanDrums
Sean comes from a southern rock and blues backround and has logged significant studio time. Sean is a real pleasure to have holding down the rhythm section!

Three beautiful northwest talents that can sing the pants off Yogi. These girls can sing so that it will break your heart and make a great addition to Howlin' Wood.Have you performed in front of an audience?Yea, we are a live band. We play just about anywhere. Its not about the cash(look at all the other bands around here and you can confirm that yourself!). Small shows to 10,000 so far. Its' a good rush.

Wow! What don't we like... We're big fans of Little Charlie and the Nightcats, Bela Fleck and the Flecktones, Elmore James, Greatful Dead and the list goes on... We coined the phrase "Blues with a Groove" 'cause lots of folks dance to our shows.
