Elevating from the Western suburbs of Melbourne, Australia, Howdy is a solo Hip Hop artist who thirves on great word play n flawless delivery. He's topic are versatyle, giving him the freedom to be able to spit about subjects that anyone can relate to.
Starting out in rock/rap bands as a young teen, Howdy soon developed a strong love for the art of rhyming. In 2000, Howdy decided to focus all his attention on Hip Hop, and it was at this time he and former friends formed a group named "Kawcayshan". The group went on to record its first album "In the name of what we are" in 2002, however after only a year problems in the group started forming which eventually led to its demize. Breaking away from the group in search of a solo career, Howdy featured on a mixtape for the merge of American clothing label Bean Dip Clothing and Sunny Boy Music and began work on his debut solo album "Still Standing" featuring artists like Alter-Egoz (PAYBACK records) and Lil Miss (U.S.A) which was completed in 2005.
After completing the album, Howdy went on to compose a music video with director Walter Lobos for his 1st single off the album "FEEL" which reached number 1 on triplejunearth's hip hop charts. The music video was also premiered on channel 31's 1700 show and recieved much positive feedback. After performing in and around Melbourne (at such venues as Star bar, Barcode, Noisebar and The Espy), Howdy began focussing on expanding his networks. He teamed up with artist and producers Cee-for and Notion of 'The Movement Fam' to start work on a new mixtape entitled "In for Life", however at this time Howdy was facing some serious personal issues that needed to be addressed before he could proceed.
Once back on track, Howdy set out to imidiately begin recording a new mixtape with artist and producer Tru-Stylz of "Wiseguys entertainment" which was eventually named "Curse words and Burnt bridges". The album was losely based on Howdy's life on the streets and dealing with homelessness. The mixtape was finished in 2009 and featured artists Bukkcity (Undak9 records) and Tru-Stylz (Wiseguys ent.)
Currently, Howdy is working on another mixtape and a new E.P which is expected to be completed end of 2011. Whilst working on the 2 albums, Howdy is still performing in and around Melbourne, bt hopes to takes his music all around Australia with talks of a possible tour sometime in the near future. Its evident that through all the struggles and strife, nothing is going to tear Howdy away from his ultimate goal of notoriety for being a creative writter and captivating performer.
