Correy D. McClure a.k.a H.O.O.D. (Highest Order Of Discipline) = learning to wait on God, was born and raised in Charlotte, North Carolina. H.O.O.D. started rhyming by the age of 10 and then performing with groups and talent shows at the age of 13.
H.O.O.D. got his first chance at the national spotlight in 1990 on the John P. Kee and friends album on a song entitled "We Shall Overcome". From that point H.O.O.D. continued to perform in groups and also travel with stage plays as a stage hand and also filled in as actor at times for plays - "Trouble Don't Last Always", by the late Tyrone Gooding Sr. , and "When a Woman's Fed Up" by David Payton (known for the hit play "A Good Man is Hard to Find").
In the year 2000 H.O.O.D. was tired of the theatre scene and the drama that went along with it he began to travel with John P. Kee and New Life as Assistant Engineer. His duties included making sure Pastor Kee and the band had the correct monitor mixes. He also assisted in the setting up and breaking down of stage and sound equipment.
After submitting a song written and produced by H.O.O.D. for the VIP (Victory In Praise) New Artist Showcase CD RELEASED 04-05-2005 on Verity Records) H.O.O.D. was offered a record deal with John P. Kee. .
H.O.O.D. has performed on the same stage with almost every major group in the gospel industry. He also sits under the ministry of national recording artist Pastor John P. Kee with his lovely wife, Latonia and their children.
In August 2005 H.O.O.D. suffered several strokes on both sides of his brain and had open heart surgery to repair a damaged heart valve, the recovery has been nonthing short of a miracle from GOD himself. H.O.O.D. is now called Miracle Man by many of his peers and business associates.
