Hijos have to be the most innovative band I have listened to so far at mp3. 'Arritmia' has an awesome presence, forcing you to take notice. The heavily effected vocal is obviously inspired by the hard-core genre but this is anything but derivative. This is evident from the 2 songs ('Fix' is also on the site) at mp3.com. My best compliment would be to say that this is genre-less music. i.e. It's totally original and definitely worth checking out." Negative-themed industrial metal isn't my bag, baby. in fact, I once sang on an album by The Jealous Grandmothers, a band that parodied this kind of thing. For it's genre, the song seems appropriately tight, angry and angst inducing. The production is on the slightly thin and trebly side, and assaults the ears like a sword being sharpened...however, that may be intentional. The vocals are drowned in shredding effects, which is definitely intentional. Listening to this made me feel bad, mad for the writers who seem to have lived through some serious scrapes and are venting their pain through this music. If you're into industrial metal, your opinion of this may be much higher...they have certainly succeeded in putting a lot of negativity into the song."
