My name is HighRum the Recluse. I was born and raised in Redlands, California. I started writing lyrics back in '94 and '95, but barely recorded my first song in '03. Since then, I've worked with a few different people; family, friends, I've even been to Streetlight Studios, but that was extremely short-lived. My main goal is to get my music out there for people to hear, and if I could make a little cash in the long run, why not.Band/artist history
I've been writing since junior high school, used to jus' rap over instrumentals that I would get from cd singles.
Whenever I would kick it with the homies and drink, I would freestyle battle back and forth with the homies Big P and Robbie.
I recorded my first song with this piece of shit, PM. We set up a little ghetto makeshift studio in my livingroom, where we did a few tracks.
PM introduced me to another cuzin of mine, KrizzBeatz. We put together a few tracks with Krizz on tha beats.
Later, Krizz introduced me to Mizzery of CSE Records. I made a few songs with them, but it didn't work out for me.
At that same time, I would go up to Northern California and do some tracks with my cuzin Cizz. We kinda put together a group called Tha I.E./Bay Connection.
In 2008, I stopped writing and rapping. I had my own personal reasons.
2009 is gonna be my year with the Hood Thugs. . .Have you performed in front of an audience?I still have yet to play for a crowd, sounds like fun.
