Risky Business Risky Business

Hip Hop real gutter music. The attitude is harsh and words are harsher, not for the fake hip hop cat.

Hip Hop General

HeavyLines Member and Producer for MbPro. An MC's MC, streetwise gutter poet, fourth generation American Mexican. Also makes beats no others have heard, little or no samples, real drastic, and not too much party.
Band/artist history
HeavyLines: I started like any other MC. Getting blazed wit the crew freestyling and moved on to writting, then to producing. I do beats for my dogg Rythmatic (MbPro member) and some other local cats. Opened for Planet Asia and Tha Skool Yard. I try to keep on the hustle but hurdles are a bitch.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
Live shows, live Hip Hop scene in Portland, OR. Red Sea, C Bar, Blue Monk, Players Club, and Club Zexon. Shows are crucial and I wish I could do more for bigger audiences but you take what you get.
Your musical influences
The truth is I can go from Nas to Steve Miller Band. I got love for East Coast thrillas and West Coast killas. Ice-T got me started in this hip-hop game. Late 60's Rock, 70's rock, 80's new wave. Cuban, Reggae, and any thing that got that beat kid.
What equipment do you use?
I use a Yamaha system, soundcard, boards, and monitors.
Anything else?
I gotta give up my peoples here putting it down here in the NorthWest. For sticking it out and not leaving. For try to blow up hood and blocks. We could chase that cheddar but the most important thing is to let everbody hear what the O.R. gotta say.
