Heath Houston

Heath Houston is a songwriter first and foremost. Almost anything you hear on here is based on that aspect of my abilities. As a matter of fact it's the only aspect I consider to be developed to a point where I feel comfortable with it. I'm not an accomplished guitarist, drummer, bassplayer, or singer. I have aspirations, though. I still have a 15 year old kid air-guitaring to Mtv inside me somewhere who wants to be on a stage in front of 10,000 fans, but I'm really very humble at heart. This page is just me and my songs... no one else. Maybe in the future I'll find some like minded individuals to form a band with. I wouldn't mind that. For now, though, it's just me expressing myself. I write songs because I can't imagine not writing songs. I make music because it's part of who I am. I'm making music in my head most all of my waking hours and quite a few sleeping ones as well. I appreciate the feedback and listens that I have been fortunate enough to have been given. Pretty much just me trying to create music for years. I've never really had the money to try a studio out. I've rarely encountered people serious enough to form a group dependant band. I've onlt in the last two years had anything to record on that I thought sounded the slightest bit like something I'd want someone else to hear.

I use a Black Ibanez RG-270 electric guitar, a $9 Wal-Mart PC microphone, Reason 3.0 for drums, and Cakewalk Homestudio 2002 as my multitrack recorder.
