I am what I am. I like to make beats and rap over them. All that you will find here is a direct representation of my life, experience, passion, sense of humor and opinions. Take from this what you will, I can't make you like it. But luckily that's not why I do this. I'm 26 years old and I have a career, this is my hobby.
Band/artist history
Inspired by my friends involved with hiphop I started on my own using windows sound recorder, my guitar and a notepad to make songs in 1997. I hooked up with my friend Mogs to write a number of since lost amaturish songs that were crucial to our development as artists. In 2000 I collaborated with Jamie Cail on several tracks for his "DJ Lazy Eye" EP which was recorded in the commications room at our rural highschool. After that, in 2002, I lost my body of work to a computer virus. It was a hit but also a commencement that enabled me to keep moving forward and inproving my skills. In 2003 Mogs and I began writing and recording the Elite Nautical Collection album which was released in 2004. All 50 copies were either sold or given away. At this point I decided that I wanted to put out a solo effort due to mogs creative shift from music to paint. Thus was born "The Not so Famous Player". The album available on this page. This features vocals from Mogs(Gangster), Leah Bennin(Rosemary), Kid Dynamite(Fairgame), Alex Somthinorother(Gettin wet) and cuts by Know(no)Good(Fairgame). Currently I am in the process of completing another solo album entitled "No Cash Value" and a group effort with Jaydub called MadDub (www.myspace.com/maddub4c).
Have you performed in front of an audience?
I love preforming live, the energy is amazing. I've been preforming live (when I can) for the past 9 years in front of friends, family and strangers alike. My most memorable moment on stage was in Hamilton at Absinthe when two fans (the only two people infront of the stage) screamed my lyrics back at me while I preformed. Nothing has compared.
Your musical influences
Gangstarr, Atmosphere, Roots, Shad K, Blueprint, Rjd2, Brother Ali, Kool Keith, Mos Def, Heiroglyphics, Souls of Mischief, Lupe Fiasco, Psalm One, Pigeon John, Das EFX, Common... and on and on... My Life, my kids, my woman, my friends adn colleagues are also a massive source of inspiration.
