HateScream is a thrash metal band from Vicenza (northern Italy). The band is going on since 1999, and has intentions to play a fast, loud '80ies american thrash Metal (influences vary from Metallica to Testament, from Megadeth to Slayer and so on.)
HateScream, the thrash metal attack!!!Band/artist history
HateScream sees the light of day approximatively around march 2000, due to guitarist Nicola Strangis. In the first line-up the bass player was Piero Darteni and the drummer Roberto Basile; meanwhile audition for rythm guitar player and singer were made. 10 months later guitarist Nicola Caruso and his brother Fabio (singer) were hired. After a few good reharsals anyway, Nicola Caruso was forced to leave the band due to work issues. HateScream had their first, the 11th of May 2001 thanks to the helping of a long-time friend of the band, Mauro Marenghi, who learned all the songs in just three days.
A month later the drummer broke his arm, and that forced the band not to record the first demo-tape. For a while drummer Salvatore Serio, another friend of the band, helped the kids until Roberto came back, 7 months later. With him returned, (January 2002) new guitarist Davide Pellegrino joined the band; only 16, he learned 12 songs in 2 weeks (with ones like Holy Wars and Hangar 18 by Megadeth). But things in HateScream are destined to change: in September 2002 Roberto is kicked out of the band, for the same reasos that Nicola Caruso was. In his place is hired Alessio Fracasso, actual drummer: at that time he played since 2 years, but was yet able to play the heaviest Slayer and Testament tunes. And yet, in june 2003 bass player Piero Darteni decides to leave the band due to college studies. In comes Filippo Toffanin, playing the whole set at his first rehearsal with the band.
And we came to present: HateScream will perfrom at Emergenza and The Battle Of Metal Bands 2004, contests for break-out bands. The first track of the band, HateScream, composed in 2002, will be part of an on-line compilation by MTVHell.com, and is freely downloadable from our web-site, or listenable on streaming at Garage.Metallus.it. The band's debut album will be released hopefully in 2004... we hope we'll give you good vibes, and most of all, good music.
