Classic Rock

I am the product of the tough streets of NYC and have the kind of education you can only get here. I'm loud, literate with a mess of influences. I have researched and studied the "Golden Age" of music songwriting, and production techniques from the '40s through the '70s. So I have the ability to draw from a s**tload of styles and influences. At the same time I don't like to stray too far from psychedelic and brit rock as a base of operations. I think it gets confusing to an audience if an artist is all over the map.
Band/artist history
I started out playing in bands and recording band demos in rehearsal rooms for friends. Then I wrote, played, and co-produced my own cd's. In 2005 I started recording and producing projects in my home studio. When that got too busy, I took a partnership in a recording studio in Long Island City. My part of the studio was called Zeroville, and I stayed there until 2007 engineering for dozens of bands. During this time I worked on the projects listed below. In 2008 I moved to work in another studio in Williamsburg, Brooklyn at Metrosonic Studios.I was there for 18 months and decided that I need to be on my own so I move to upper manhattan where I continue to record produce and mix for a variety of artists as well as my own material.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
Yes around the New York Tri=State area. Up until recently I played rhythm guitar with Tuff Darts [one of the original early l CBGB's bands from the 70's] The club was totally packed and standing in front of the stage singing every lyric to these 30 year old songs was one of the opening bands [they were in their late teens at best!] It was an amazing and powerful moment for me.
Your musical influences
Beatles, Stones, Who, Hendrix,Grand Funk Railroad, Paul Revere and the Raiders, Slim Harpo , Stax records, Loud Guitars,Psychedelic, Brit Pop, etc.
What equipment do you use?
