GWM is one man, me! After years of simply enjoying music as a hobby, I decided that "I could do that" and so started writing tunes. That was about 2 months ago (June 2006) now and they just keep on coming...
Band/artist history
Born a long, long time ago (even pre-dating reality tv) in a seaside village in Scotland. Grew up not really into music - more interested in football and other sports to care about that. Didn't even keep up with piano practice which is unforgiveable now. Mid teens discovered Nirvana and Jeff Buckley and haven't stopped listening since. First picked up a guitar at about the edge of 17 although didn't learn a chord for a good few years after that!! Can still only play about 2 tunes right through, although that is only really because my head is so full of other ideas...
Have you performed in front of an audience?
I am about to venture out of the living room and into a bar or club near you.... watch this space!!

Influenced by a wide and varied selection of stuff, not all of which is immediately obvious on my tunes - Red House Painters, Richard Hawley, Teenage Fanclub, Grandaddy, Lambchop, Baby Bird, Arcade Fire, Sigur Ros, Beck, The Magnetic Fields, Ed Harcourt, Kevin Tihista's Red Terror, Leonard Cohen, Sufjan Stevens, Micah P. Hinson, Ride, Belle and Sebastian, The National, Calexico, Lift to Experience, etc etc ETC!!
What equipment do you use?
Acoustic guitar, my voice, various technical bits and bobs, lots of imagination and a fair bit of spare time (although not enough of the latter at the mo)!

1. Dogs are great aren't they?!
2. You can't beat a nice cup of tea, especially if a biscuit is involved.
