GROUND ZERO - PURE RAGE AND AGGRESSION

Current Lineup:

Stan - vocals, guitars

Flo - bass

Dane - drums

Ground Zero is an Industrial Death Metal band from Emmendingen, Germany.

The band was founded in 2008 as a solo project after the breakup of Stani's former band Death Constitution. All the 14 tracks of the debut album Deadline were entirely recorded by Stani in his home studio.

In April of 2008, Stani started looking for musicians to play in Ground Zero. A drummer was soon found in Dane, his former band mate from Death Constitution who was sold on the spot after listening to Stani's newly recorded material.

Soon afterwards, the first rehearsals took place in their practice room, although the band obviously wasn't complete.

The search for a bass and guitar player was a little more complex as it turned out. It was successful eventually when Stani asked Flo, the former bass player for Dimorph, and Tom, guitarist of Pesticides, to help out with the lineup. He soon realized that they both would ultimately become permanent members of Ground Zero. The first rehearsals as a band took place around September 2008.

The only position in the band left vacant was the position of the vocalist.

Unfortunately, the search for a vocalist remained unsuccessful which led to Stani taking over that position despite having had no experience with it before. In addition, guitarist Tom was forced to withdraw from the band's lineup. In December of 2008, Stani also recorded the vocals for the album which was now complete The band had to face the withdrawal of their second guitar player and so the search for a second guitar player went on and is, to this day, not finished.

In April 2009 Ground Zero won the REHvolution Bandcontest and played their first Gig on the REHvolution Festival together with Bands like "One Man Army and the Undead Quartet" or "Moribund Oblivion"

Til the end of the year 2009 Ground Zero played 7 more shows in Germany eg. the Piece of Loin Festival with Dew-Scented or the X-Mas Massacre together with Painful.

Furthermore they get the opportunaty to sign with Uniqueopia Records, which was not come about after failed proceedings.

But for the year 2010 Ground Zero is still going to kick ass everybody on there way! At the moment theyre scheduling the release of the Album Deadline and a tour.

Stay tuned motherfuckers!!!

Have you performed in front of an audience?

Of course we do! Although Ground Zero played only in Germany, we played at many places and countries with our previous bands before.

Yes we like it, otherwise we won?t do it (?).

A crazy thing happened for example as we played at the "Support Your Local Metal Scene". At the last song Stan?s guitar belt cracked, so he had to play and sing in a very uncomfortable way. That made him so angry that he beat the fist of an other guy to the beat, headbanging in the first row. Although both were excited about that, the guy had left to the hospital, assuming his hand was broken.

Your musical influences

Starting on Metallica?s Master of Puppets over Machine Head to Mortician bla bla bla nostalgic bullshit.

The biggest influence is the rage we have in us, growing and thriving every single day!!!

... mostly affected by the infantile uptight attitude towards life of the human society today ^^

Anything else?

I wanna thank our manager, banging me, mom and dad for chucking me out with 16, my cats pissing always on my jackets, my seldmade line 6 amp for never-functionality on stage and the puke, always saving me from the beautiful death from alcohol.

FUCK OF THIS QUESTIONS!!!
