Greg,
Thanks much for your input on acoustics! I'm prolly going to settle for a Takamine becuase they are more accessible for me and the ydo have a great reputation as well. Price is also a major factor for me. I may have to wait until September (my birthday) otherwise my wife will freak cause I've spent so much money lately on new gear, guitars, etc.
The music I'm playing now is, well, hard for me to discribe. Very heavy at times, very mellow and sweet, kind of Neo-Classical, old ELP, old Yes, old Genesis, with a very sharp edge, especially with me in the mix. Anyways, there is definitely a need for an Acoustic for sure. My problem is, I love steel strings, I'm a Dimeola freak. But I love the sound of nylons.
Like you said, I just need to poke around and see what I can afford and what I like.
I should really sell 1 or 2 of my many electrics, nah that aint gonna happen! :)
I'll let you know when I post some of this new music. Should be within a month or so hopefully.

Hi Greg,
I need to get your input here -
I'm currently engaged with a new band and I need to pick up a nice nylon string, or a steel string acoustic. One with a cut away to reach the higher frets, great sound, and LOW ACTION so I can travel far on the neck :) - any sugesstions? your input is greatly appreciated!
I love your sound and music, and stop selling youself short dude! you're great and you're a major (positive) attribute here!
Thanks and be good,
Marco

Greg,
It's a fantastic thing when we first attempt to play Bach. The man was/is at the top. It's very difficult stuff.
That having been said, I would suggest listening to the great cellist Casals. Listening to him may give you some insight into the singing. Also, I love David Russel, Carlos Barbosa-Lima, and Charles Mingus. These are a few of the best stringmen that ever lived.
Good Luck! and thank you for the music

Hey Greg -how are ya?
Dude, I meant everything I said. really. I think you're great. I love your tunes. They're pure. They're great.
I am lefty but play righty (left hand on the neck) which gives me the advantage I think, when it comes to my particular technique.
Be good,
Marco

Greg – I found you by combing the posts on bobbywaynes’ msg board –
Dude you are WAY too humble on your interview - your playing is beautiful, spectacular. Perfect melodies, finger picking is just perfect. Really nice. I could NEVER do that. NEVER. – I’m left handed so my technique is completely the polar opposite of your style.
Spastic? NOT! You want to hear spastic? Listen to me – and don’t be fooled by the shred. I’ll let you form your own opinion…
**** Beautiful music. Please post more. I’m adding your tunes to my station now…

Greg, diggin' "Book of Saturday", lots of well played arpeggios going on. Sometimes the simplest things are the best. I enjoyed your playing and tone you get from your HR, you need not be so humble.
Keep up the great sounds and thax for sharing your music.

I love that old Genesis album, Nursery Crymes, good job on transcribing that song- how about the Music box or the return of the giant hogweed !

Sounds great, Greg! Being an old Gabriel-era genesis fan, I really loved your playing of "For Absent Friends". That one is one of my all-time favorites. I'd love to see the music for it... did you transcribe it, or is it published somewhere?
Thanks!
