Just me in my room with a few guitars and a bit of studio equipment. Nothing interesting to say really. I love music and do it for myself and anyone else unlucky enough to overhear (my neighbours).
Band/artist history
Started playing bass with my first band in school until guitarist left and I was forced to learn guitar (thank god i did its amazing and i highly reccomend it).My dad is kinda like my guitar mentor and one day i WILL be as good as him!!!!!! Also used to mess around on piano a bit with my friend Ed who is amazing and showed me some really good stuff. Broke up with the band after i finished school due to "musical differences" and started writing my own stuff (mainly just acoustic guitar). Was reading total guitar one day and saw an ad for a multitrack recorder. Since i was working at the time i ordered one and began recording my own songs. Started a course in music tech in 2005 which has helped me immensley with my music. Have been in the process of building up my home studio for the last 2 years now. Just started my final project for college which is going to be a complete album that i will put on this site for you all to have a listen. Dont know what the future holds for me but as long as i have music i dont care.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
I used to play live with my last band. I absolutley loved the performing but couldnt get on with the sort of music they were getting me to play (screamo arrgh!)
Your musical influences
I try to draw influences from as many styles as possible from modern day (although im rather unimpressed with the majority of mainstream bands today) to classical and blues. Even if i dont like the music i try to find an idea in there somewhere.
What equipment do you use?
Guitars: Ibanez,BC Rich, Epiphone (cant afford gibson yet *cries), Yamaha acoustics (cant afford Martin either *cries again). Yamaha bass, some unnamed classical guitar which sounds sweet. Studio: Lots of behringer cheap and excellent quality for what you pay. V-amp pro, v-verb, tube EQ, mixer patch bays. Also Tascam 8 tracks which are excellent.Alesis 3630. Various microphones and an ok sounding presonus preamp. Cubase sx 3 and sony soundforge are great and really easy to use. Just got an Emu Xboard 61 great little midi keyboard mostly using it for piano and drums.
Anything else?
Big thanks to mum for putting up with all the noise i cause and cheers to my dad for helping me get started on my adventure in the world of guitaring.
